Having worked together now for over 30 years, since the UK joined the Single Market in 1993 and our business as then Nightingale Shipping Limited transformed into The Special Carrier and we moved away from Customs Import and Export Agency, in 1993 ... the town wasn't big enough for all of us anymore.
We maintained a relationship throughout but in recent times our close ties with our old competitor and nemesis became increasingly important and immensely valuable with the introduction of the Border controls following the BREXIT. Harbour Shipping has provided extensive customs import and export services backed with excellent support and expertise to our special express business throughout the re-introduction of border controls.
Its interesting and amusing to note , that we were next door neighbours fiercely competing in Eastern Docks Dover in the 80's and Early 90's in the customs clearance business, and here we are over 30 years later watching each other over the fence again but as friends...
